1. Current status
The application does not currently provision cameras, issue camera access keys, stream video or audio, expose a live-view button, or store camera footage. Current bookings do not enable camera access.
2. No implied consent
Creating or accepting a booking does not provide consent to household camera monitoring. Parents and caregivers must follow applicable law, including the NDPA and NDPC guidance, for devices they arrange independently. This platform does not administer household camera access.
3. Existing household CCTV
Disclose household CCTV before care starts, including its location, purpose, whether audio is enabled, who can access recordings and intended retention. A household-safety checkbox is notice, not blanket permission. Address questions before care begins, restrict access and sharing, and do not assume an exemption applies to every use of recordings. AuntyNow does not continuously monitor, store or review household footage.
4. Future activation
If an AuntyNow camera feature is introduced in the future, it will require a separate technical implementation, security review, updated privacy notice and explicit, informed consent flow before it is presented as available. Consent will be specific, revocable and documented.
